Made In China
Like many, my first experience with China was observing the inexpensive toys & products that came from there. Once I began traveling to China, however, I discovered an entirely new meaning behind "Made In China." I saw the artisans creating intricate pieces by hand- everything from paper sculptures to scarves, green tea leaves to dumplings. The people I encountered had great pride in their country and their work. Made In China came to mean something entirely different to me then.
This series of photographs captures a bit of that quiet beauty and artistic passion. Welcome to Made In China.

I opened my studio ten years ago in New Haven, Connecticut, passionate about using my photography to help people connect with their families, their stories, and their own beauty. When I'm not at the studio I love to travel and collect new photographs for the fine art series. My work can be found in private collections around the world, and has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, National Geographic, Forbes, MSN, and Connecticut Cottages & Gardens.
